Description
Soybean-Casein Digest Agar Medium (TSA), USP is a highly nutritious versatile medium which is recommended for general laboratory use in the preparation of agar plates. Due to the inclusion of both Tryptone and Soy Peptone, the medium will support growth of many fastidious organisms without the addition of serum, etc.
Product conforms to United States Pharmacopeia standards for use in Microbiological Tests and Microbial Limits Tests.
Applications include sterility testing, bioburden, and plate counts.
Soybean-Casein Digest Agar Medium (TSA), USP is certified BSE-Free.
Supplied as dehydrated powder. After resuspension, final pH is 7.3 at 25°C.
Instructions for Use
1. Suspend 40 g in 1 L of deionized water.
2. Heat to boiling while stirring to dissolve ingredients.
3. Autoclave for 15 - 30 minutes at 121°C.
4. Cool solution to 50°C and dispense into sterile petri dishes.
