Description

The PowerMicrobiome™ RNA Isolation Kit is designed for fast and easy purification of total RNA from samples high in PCR inhibitors; including stool, gut material, dried feces, contaminated buccal swabs, and secretions. Patented Inhibitor Removal Technology® (IRT) ensures complete removal of inhibitory substances from digested food, heme from lysed red blood cells abundant in stool, and other PCR inhibitors. The RNA isolated is high quality and ready to use in the most demanding downstream application, including RT-qPCR and sequencing. Optional removal of co-isolated DNA can be performed using a simple, on-column procedure with reagents provided in the kit. The PowerMicrobiome™ RNA isolation Kit is the only kit available that is optimized for stool and gut material and provides high quality RNA for use in characterizing the human microbiome.

Storage Conditions

Store lyophalized DNase I at 4°C for up to 2 years. All other kit reagents and components should be stored at room temperature (15-30°C) for up to 2 years.
